Rafidain Oral and Dental Research Journal (RODRJ) adopts a full Open Access publishing policy, providing immediate and unrestricted access to all published articles. Readers may freely access, download, distribute, and utilize published content for lawful scholarly and educational purposes without subscription fees or access barriers.
The journal supports the global exchange of scientific knowledge and believes that unrestricted access to research enhances scientific progress, professional development, and evidence-based healthcare practice.
Peer Review Policy
RODRJ maintains a rigorous and transparent peer-review system designed to uphold the highest standards of scientific quality and publication ethics.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal's scope and compliance with publication requirements. Manuscripts that pass the preliminary evaluation are subjected to a double-blind peer-review process conducted by at least two independent experts with recognized expertise in the relevant discipline.
Reviewers are expected to evaluate submissions objectively with respect to scientific merit, originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, clarity of presentation, and significance of findings. All information related to submitted manuscripts is treated as strictly confidential throughout the review process.
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief retains full authority and responsibility for the final editorial decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of manuscripts.
Reviewer Guidelines
Reviewers contributing to RODRJ are requested to:
- Accept review invitations only when the manuscript falls within their area of expertise.
- Declare any potential conflicts of interest before undertaking the review.
- Complete reviews within the specified review period.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all manuscript content and review communications.
- Provide constructive, objective, and evidence-based comments that assist authors in improving the quality of their work.
- Evaluate manuscripts according to scientific validity, originality, ethical standards, and relevance to the journal's scope.
Publication Ethics

Revenue Sources and Editorial Independence
The operation of Rafidain Oral and Dental Research Journal (RODRJ) is supported through Article Processing Charges (APCs), institutional support, and other legitimate academic funding resources when applicable.
All financial considerations are managed independently of editorial decision-making processes. Acceptance, revision, or rejection of manuscripts is based exclusively on scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Financial contributions, sponsorship, or institutional affiliations have no influence on editorial judgments.
